DIARRHOEA (ATISAAR)
Looseness of the bowels. Sometimes peristalsis of the intestine is increased hence one may get loose motions several times a day. Bacteria, viruses etc. enter our body through food, water etc. If there is inflammation of the inner coating of intestine, due to intestinal worms, some drugs, psychological disturbance are the causes of diarrhea.

  • APPLE contains pectin. It is useful in controlling the loose motions. Children are more benefited. Give them 1 to 4 teaspoons of pulp of sweet and riped apple.lt controls diarrhea within 2 days, it is also helpful in habit of loose motions, it is controlled. Apple juice is disinfectant for stomach and intestine. !t prevents bacteria’s etc.
  • Raw BANANA is astringent. Mucus membrane of intestine is contracted by intake of this type of banana.
  • GRAPES are also useful
  • Raw PINEAPPLE is also useful.
  • COCONUT milk/water is also useful in loose motions. Cholera and similar conditions.
  • CARROT is disinfectant, hence useful in controlling the diarrhea.
  • GARLIC has the same utility.
  • Plenty of WATER is to be drunk for any type of diarrhea; it replaces the loss of body fluid.
  • If diarrhea is due to be deficiency of niacin then one can include peanuts, PULSES, unpolished or brown RICE and WHEAT in his/her diet.
  • Drink BUTTER MILK, TEA and COFFEE.
  • Boiled MILK is useful but raw milk may cause loose motions.
  • BARLEY water, WHEAT, water of white of egg, cornflower, Rice water, Brandy, Sherry are useful in acute diarrhea.
  • Use BUTTER MILK, Tea, Coffee, Red wine, Wharterbery wine in chronic diarrhea.
  • Soup of PULSES is useful in any type.
  • POPCORN water and ghee are useful in any type.
  • Eat YOGHURT or curds if diarrhea is often.
  • Drink MOLASSES and eat sprouted WHEAT.
