PYREXIA
(FEVER) (JWARA)
Fever or pyrexia means rise in body temperature. When there is increase
in body temperature metabolic action is also increased. (Anabolic
and katabolic action). Due to this increased metabolic action more
carbohydrates, protenis and fluid is expelled out of body. Sodium
chloride is also distroyed.
Due to increase in heat in our surroundings. Entry of bacteria in
our body, more loss of fluid from our body, inflamation, infection
or trauma to brain are various reasons of fever.

There
is improper digestion in any fever. In such condition it is necessary
without taxing digestive system energy of the body is to be maintained,
and in such condition HONEY is very useful. Take honey 3-4 times
a day 2-4 spoons at a time. It is more useful in pneumonia and typhoid.

There
is destruction of proteins in the fever. Hence it is necessary to
compensate the loss of proteins and supply all constituents to the
body. CANE SUGAR juice is the best.

GRAPE
SUGAR is very easily assimilable in the blood hence as a food in
fever grapes be utilized.

ORANGES
are good in any fever. Its juice is useful for body nutrition. It
is also very easy for digestion and there is no normal digestion
in fevers, hence use in fevers.

Soak
SULTANA (RAISINS) in warm/cold water for twelve hours. Then this
water be utilized for drinking in fever cases.

Boil
the water, then cool it and use for drinking in patients suffering
from fever.

BUTTER
MILK, COCONUT MILK/water and LEMON are useful in fever.

Soup
of pulses may be given.
